Here are two stands i finished this week. This was not my design all i had to go with was a picture. The knobs were not here so i had to take pics with out them. Two knobs per drawer.
I started with two slabs of claro walnut from the same tree. They stand 26 tall 30 wide and 18.5 front to back.
Really challeged me with the curved front.I spent three months building including the mock up piece in popler to work out the details.
Everything except the tops were polished with shellac.
Secondary woods are Vg dougfir,Hard maple,Cedar of lebenon,Pine for the back.
Thanks for looking,Andrew

Andrew,

Fantastic. Choice of woods is outstanding. May I ask where did you get that claro walnut ?

I'm very impressed with the dovetails. Glad you did not use a machine and that you did alternate spacing. They look terrific !!

WOW INDEED !

Incredible, if anyone set a drink down on one of those without a coaster should get serious jail time.:D

Simply beautiful.

Outstanding work! Those slabs looked very nice as well. I bet it was exciting to just look at them during the mock up stages.

Wow Andrew, just outstanding!! Claro Walnut is some really special wood, and you did it justice. What was your approach to the curved fronts, are they bent lamination or milled from solid? Again, great project.

Andrew, that is where I get all my good wood !! I didn't see that big slab you got, or I would have bought it first <g>.
They have some really nice wood there, and all the other stuff too !
