How Fast and How $$$ can I built a 5,000 sq ft building

Hi guys,

I'm looking at small warehouses and not having much luck. It would be nice to have about 5,000 sq ft maybe more, less is possible. How fast and for how much could I get a pole barn built. I assume this is about the cheapest sq ft available. Concete would be very nice, but possible to live with a well packed gravel floor.

About $8-9 sq. ft. add about $2.50 sq. ft for concrete. Take about 1 1/2 weeks to put up.

John, I think you'll really want to put in concrete, especially since I assume this is to store the inventory for your business. In the part of my barn that has a dirt/gravel floor, the humidity gets way too high.

A fully built, insulated, powered, heated pole barn was recently built by my cousin. It is something like 30x50 so much smaller than yours. Also, it has a concrete floor and is fully insulated. It costs them just about $10,000 and they did all of the work themselves.

Don't know if this helps as it is no where near the size you are looking at.

I bought mine from www.steelbuilding.com (http://www.steelbuilding.com) and had local companies do the concrete and erection. It ran about $19/sqft - but it has a lot of windows, insulation, large bay doors, and a stouter slab to support a second floor.
