The Laguna brand is a recent entrant into the Australian woodworking space and I have just taken delivery of the LT 14 SUV bandsaw. It is all assembled and ready to be tested. With the bandsaw I purchased a ResawKing blade based on the reviews I have read. However, down here we don't have access to the Laguna resharpening service and the local distributor has not organised anything yet. My question is, is there anything special about the RK blade that prevents it being sharpened by any professional blade sharpener.

Well, it is carbide-tipped. Does your resharpener have equipment to sharpen carbide on a bandsaw blade?

The other thing to check is the tooth profile. Look at the teeth with a magnifying glass. On my Lenox Woodmaster CT carbide blade, the teeth are like a triple-chip design on a tablesaw blade -- that is, individual teeth have different shapes. Dunno about the Resaw King.

Nothing really special, I guess. It will eventually get dull.
