Anybody know of a sawmill or place to get mesquite at a decent price. I will be down around Kerrville this weekend and would like to score some.

Thanks
Dave

Does Kerrville still count as 'south'? I can point you to a couple places around San Antonio, but I don't think either one are available on weekends. Call me...

A few years back, there was a mill and kiln in Kerrville, at least according to a woodworker from San Angelo who told me he took his own mesquite logs there for them to process for him. Sorry, I don't remember the name of it.

I dont know about Mesquite but there was a little German grocery store there that had the best beef jerky I've ever had. It was an inch thick and covered in black pepper. Wonder if its still there...............

Have fun in Kerrville, I love the hill country in Texas.

I know of a place just north of Dallas that handles a lot of mesquite. If you are going to be i that area let me know I'll send the info.
