I have quite a few cabinets and work stations I want to make: rough & tough for a dog kennel, sturdy but nice cabinets for my shop and some for the home as well. The books I have are mostly about making cabinets from sheet goods and many of them use pocket hole joinery.
I am thinking 3/4 ply with hardwood edges for the tough/work cabinets, solid wood doors and plywood carcasses or all solid wood cabinets for the others. I am interested in exploring construction options, particularly ones that employ hand tools for the various joints. I am fairly sure a few of you have made a cabinet or two and have ideas about construction methods.
