Beautiful work! An impressive railing. The rather square instead of round cross-section makes a real difference in the overall effect.

I don't do a lot of spindle turning but your nice railing has raised a couple of questions. First, when I turn something the piece normally turns out round in profile, not square as in yours. Could you to describe your technique? The other question is how did you make them all so uniform.

Thanks,
David

Milan, I too am curious about your method. I see from your previous post the use of a pattern and the dust around it would indicate a powered cutter such as a router. If I were to try this ( no worries- just curious) a starting point would be to lay out 4 centers. Very nice work and I hope you could share some more photos.

I'm not sure how Milan is actually doing this, but it can be done on a lathe with the therming process, producing many spindles at once, with essentially square, triangular, or other cross-sections. See, for example,

Thank you for your good comments, and I see that you like it and I hope that you, and you go to work in this technique.
Technique is as you described Robert Henrickson (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/member.php?81842-Robert-Henrickson)and I thank him for a good explanation because I do not know Best Your Language. I accidentally found in an old book, and she is almost 200 books godina.Ime do not remember but I've found at this address
http://www.craftsmanspace.com/free-books/woodturning-books.htmlIn this technique,
I worked on a lathe and all the distorted form of benches and tables as shown below ..

Thanks for the confirmation of the method you are using. Using that method for the chairs is remarkable. It's great to see someone using a different, and old, technique. Please continue to post many pictures -- I've been interested in this method but have not yet tried it so it is nice to see someone using it for a number of different projects.
