Looking for something I can laser cut that is more durable than acrylic that I'm using, as it appears what I have is a bit brittle and cracks pretty easy I assume there is some materials that are more durable to stress trying to cut some items for brackets in 1/4 inch thickness.

Current Material..Translucent Cast Acrylic (Plexiglass) Sheet

I'd go with Delrin / acetal. Cuts great. It's what many gears are made from.

You can get a grade of acrylic called "high impact" , it is acrylic with some modifiers , has almost the strength of polycarbonate but the properties of acrylic when it comes to cutting , ask you plastics supplier about it.

It's also called "rubber modified acrylic" and stinks pretty bad when cutting.
