I need to bore a 2 inch hole in some 3 inch thick planking. I then need to insert a tight fitting metal sleeve inside the hole. The metal sleeve is held in place by a large top surface flange that has screws going into the planking from above. If you've ever used T nuts, think of a giant T nut inserted from above that does not have internal threads.

For the life of me, I can't remember the name of this fitting! Bring anything to mind???

Check out McMaster Carr or MSC for T bushings. I doubt they are stock in that size, in which case look to a local machine shop.
