Anyone know about the Husky 7HP upright compressor

Well....it's not really 7hp for starters if that's the 60 gallon unit! Try about 3hp which is normal for this kind of single stage compressor. They are ok, but for about $550 you can have the IR which is a more servicable product...much less plastic. (Dennis Peacock wrote some useful information about that last year...try a search to catch those comments)

Any comments on the Delta,2 stage,80 gal.approx 6 hp sold at Sams Club.Price is around $765.Or the Ingersol Rand sold at Tractor Supply,80 gal,2 cyl.single stage,approx.6 HP.Price around $750.I have been looking around to replace my old unit which is also getting tired,49 yrs old.:confused: :confused: :eek:

I can't comment on that model but I bought the smaller one from HD (upright) a few months ago and am very pleased with it. The compressor is made in the USA, mine has a Marathon motor which I have had very good luck with on other tools, I forget how many horse the sticker is, I look at the amp draw when buying tools and mine would be in the 2 h.p. range. It's very quiet and runs great.

I have the Husky 7hp peak 80 gal 2 stage. The Husky's are made by Campbell Hausfeld. I have not had any problems with mine.

I second Jim's nomination of the Ingersol-Rand. Tractor Supply (not sure if they are out west) sells it for $499 but puts it on sale from time to time. When I got mine they were also running a 10% off for new TSC credit cards which got mine down to less than the Campbell Hausfeld.
