Dyed maple HF

This piece of maple had some of them ugly gray stains that happen some times.Sat on the kithen table for quite a while staring at me wanting to be finished. Finally decided to give it a bath in some dye. ( black then blue)bunch of lacquar,buffed and waxed. Thought i'd do a carving finial on it, but can't decide what yet, so knocked this one out for now. Thanks as always.

That's really nice, Steve. Did you sand between colors of dye? Your finial is spot-on. Particularly, since you just "knocked it out".

Thanks all. Eric yea i did sand the black back, before adding the blue. i think couse of all that gray stain it's as dark as it is in most spots.

Steve it sure looks good to me. Maybe a little lighter finish but that may be the picture.
