This is a piece of oak burl a guy brought me last week. It was half rotten, dry as a bone. Well it being as bad as it was, decided to give it a good soaking in the white glue and water trick. Let sit for a day or so and this is what it became.Aprox 7x 4, and finish is just teak oil.

Steve, that is a great looking bowl. It does have alot of burl in it and real good shape.

I agree with the others, Steve. Nice save. How did it turn after the soak? Did it feel pretty solid?

Lovely curve from rim to foot, not easy to pull off, kudos. The swirling grain is a bonus.

Thanks all. This was really bad i bet i had to take off 3 inches of rotten pulkie wood. Eric after i stabilized the rest of it with the glue, and let it dry, it turned just fine. The inside of this was still solid,but cracked up. That's why it's a bowl and not a HF.:)
