I haven't posted in awhile, just had multiple projects in mid-completion, and nothing really finished. This is a Mesquite hollow form, about 8" high, with a copper insert that was textured with a ball-peen hammer, then "painted" with a torch. The colors really don't show up well in the picture.
This is going to Tampa to be given to someone who really admired a similar one I made for the Desert Woodturning Roundup last year. Hope he likes it.
The second is Acadia with a turquoise infill where the cracks were, about 10" high.
