I picked up a jet jws 18 ho at an auction today, and I need some help. It appears to have a 1/4 inch router bit in he collet, but I cannot figure out how to remove it. I also dont hink it came with a 1/2 inch collet.

questions: 1) where can i find a users manual? The Jettools site does not have one listed..
2) how do i remove the bit from the collet?
3) is there a source fir a 1/2 inch collet to use 1/2 inch shank router bits?

Hi, there often is a draw bolt that goes all the way down the spindle, the nut should accessible under the table at the bottom of the spindle pulley.

Hold the top of the spindle with a wrench, loosen draw bolt, thread the nut down so the threads on the bolt are covered and tap it upwards with a wood mallet.

The collet assembly should pop loose..................Rod.
