I'm building a 24'x30' and have the footing poured, batter boards set, and the blocks scattered around. I just need somebody to lay two full runs and another half run of regular lightweight blocks and then a full run of solid L-block.

I am willing to do the work myself, but am not experienced at all. I need somebody who can get 'em straight and true. Just don't know what to expect as far as how much is reasonable for this labor.

Any suggestions?

Last time I heard, around this area the cost for laying was the same as the cost of the blocks at the local block emporium. You might be able to do better than that if you find a guy that will let you carry blocks and do the mortar mising for him.

Around here it costs 3-4 times the cost of the blocks. Whereas flatwork is about double the cost of the concrete. In this area poured walls are a little cheaper thn block ones (stronger too!)
