Kevin, beautiful, outstanding looking wood, really stands out as a turning worth giving a second glance to, I like the photo without the flash the best.

I would love to get around to mentioning the perfectly understated forms that you used here to allow the wood to take center stage. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to get past the astonishingly beautiful material! I'm workin' on it...

That is very nice grain, color everything. It overwhelms the eye.

Kevin,
As everyone else has said, those are beautiful. Very simple designs. My favorite is the plate on the left in picture 1. But, I wouldn't toss the other two. Where do you get your buckeye burl?
Keep up the great work.
Steve

Thanks for all the kind words. Sorry I haven't responded earlier but the computer was down.
Steve about where I got the Buckeye Burl. I found a coffee table on craigslist that was 40x36
4 inches thick, the finish was junk but it was Buckeye Burl. I used the top of the table for the
bottom of my bowls. The voids & inclusions dictated the size of my blanks. I use a glue block
and faceplate I have attached a photo to show some of the remiaining pieces. I will probably
end up with 20 different size bowl blanks and alot of Ice Cream Scoop, Bottle Stop. and Pen
Blanks. The thick resin finish they used in the seventies (Tag had maker & year) beats he heck
out of bandsaw blades. I have to resharpen after about 2 to 3 blanks. Thanks again for the nice
feedback. Kevin262481
