During my mornin break at work today I did the obligatory Craigslist search for my next large tool purchase. Today I stumbled upon a gentleman who was getting out of the craft and selling off most everything woodworking related. If I had the cash on hand I would have a much larger gloat ;)
I emailed and went to meet him for my lunch hour and spotted a Delta 50-850 (with the 2 micron pleated filter) in the corner of the garage. I asked the price. $250. Not bad but I had to counter with $200. I was a little surprised when he said yes. And more surprised when he told me ,if I took it down, all the ductwork and hoses were mine. 50' PVC, half a dozen elbows, 3 wyes, 4 tees, 40' of clear 4" hose, and 10 clamps. Not a bad haul.
Now the work begins: Installation!

Great score! You are ahead on the ducting side certainly. That can nickel and dime you out of your next tool.

Your lucky you live in area where people actually list items on CL that are worth looking at, around here all we get are the flea market vendors with their cheap imports and rusty "antique tools" they want a fortune for.
Nice find and a great CL score.

you're going to like that DC. i got the same unit from a woodnetter for $150, with a woodcraft 220v remote control. i'd humbly suggest considering adding a baffle to the drum ring. i did, and the improvement in collected dust going to the collection bag as opposed to the pleated filter is dramatic:

I have that exact model, works great. I added a seperator between the ducting and DC mounted on a 55 gal drum. The drum fill up before any dust collects in the plastic bag. Nice score.

I have the same unit. Paid $160 with two 10' x 4" flex hose. I got a good deal. You got a steal!!! Good find!!!

Check out the cyclone on eBay from seller eastcaroga. I coupled my 50-850 with it and absolutely love it so far!!!

Pics... Or it didn't happen.
