Spring plunger type jig (scroll) saw

I just purchased a new Excalibur scroll saw :D and I am wondering if there is any usefulness in an old spring plunger type scroll saw. My Powermatic #95 jig (scroll) saw, which started my intrest in scrolling, has no problems (they are built like a tank), but now with my Excalibur I am debating on selling it. Is there any thing you can't do with a modern scroll saw that an old jig saw can?

BTW I love my new Excalibur!
