Made a wood haul

Went to mother-n-law's house this weekend and took her some salt and pepper shakers I made and a pie loml made. She had this big aromatic cedar tree she wanted down, so I obligedand and there are two more to get. I was talking to a friend of hers about the lathe work and had mentioned some tool rests I was looking at. He left and came back with these three that are on the back of the truck. They are made of cold rolled steel and he added an extra 14" piece for me to make a tool with.
... and we thought we were bering gifts.

Wow...You've been busy too Ernie! Those pieces look like a lot of fun. I gotta get some better tool rests m'self. Did he make them himself?

John, yes he made them. He's been welding for heavy equipment for thirty years, so I suspect these will stay together for some time.
