This big old rip saw has a few "issues" to it261576261577The handle is a replacement. Took it off to clean the plate, and found a few extra holes. Including a couple "Half-holes". The handle has a dark brown, quilted figure to it, too.

Found a little bit of an etch, looked like the lettering was in two arches, but the only ones I ca pick out so far ......G A T...... Atkins, maybe??

a few more looks at this saw261585261586even the bolts are in bass ackwards. That is a splash of silver paint, and will soon be gone, IF I refinish the tote. A couple more?261587looks like about a 5 ppi?

As for the "Toolbox saw" 261588medallion says Warranted Superior with an eagle. Nice big, fat tote, too.261589261590261591Haven't got a "tooth count" yet. Cuts fast, cuts a might rough, and it do cut straight as I can cut. 14" long blade. Haven't found any etch, yet. Not sure IF this one even had an etch....

Steven It looks like a user made handle on the rip saw. Lightly sand the area where the etch should be to see if you can see it more clearly. I like the little tool box saw.

Looks are towards a "Warranted Cast Steel" across the top of the etch. Plate is cleaning up nicely, though261860 Those big teeth are quite sharp. 26" long skew back rip saw, for about $4? Handle is still a WIP, though261861Might take the tote back off, refinish it, maybe soften some of the edges a bit? End of saw plate has been modified to accept that handle at one time. Might have been a user's replacement for a broken tote???
