i am building a desk and the top is 30 inches off the floor.the plan calls for the bottom of the middle drawer frame to be 22 5/8 inches to the floor.sitting in a chair i measure 23 1/2 to the top of my knee.is there a standard measurement for the height where the chair goes in below the drawer.i know the drawer will be smaller.thanks jim.

22.625" is too low for knees....sounds like your plans aren't ergonomically realistic. Google "workstation ergonomic standards" to get standard desk/chair standard dimension info.

Regardless of any "standards", just sit in your favorite desk chair and measure the distance from floor to top of thighs....then add a few inches for wiggle room and that defines the minimum height of your desk drawer bottom for your project.
