Does anyone here have any experience with cutting sheet magnets with a CO2 laser? After reading the thread on doming I want to try it on magnets but want to know if I can cut the magnet sheets before I invest anything.

Yep, they'll cut just fine...

I wouldn't exactly say "fine", but I'll will agree that they cut. Sparks flying and smoking excluded, they work ok. Just make certain that they are polyester and not PVC - although some people will debate that issue as well.

The magnetic sheet from L@serbits sparked a lot and smoked something fierce. Also, the edges were a bit charred and crumbly, and needed to be scraped a bit to clean them up.

This is a Laser Question but some have had luck scoring them with a plotter and snapping them.

Yes, and also, score with the laser (faster speed) and snap, and you don't get the charred edges.
