I'm replacing my old craftsman motor with a new Baldor 1hp (L1309A) :D It was like Christmas when the brown truck showed up :D :D Got it unpacked and just stared at it for a while :D :D :D

Then I wanted to hear it purr...well, that didn't happen last night. Apparently these have all kinds of wires. Looking at the label, I'm hooking it to 110 so I'm going to use the low-voltage diagram. Here's what I'm thinking, but need to check on account I don't want to screw this up...I bought a new power cord and of course it only has the basic 3 wires.

- I'm going to hook 1,8,3 up to black
- 4 on white
- then of course ground to the screw in the box
- 2,5,J will just be tied together with a wire nut

So does that sound right?

As always, thanks for the help!

David -

Thanks for the reassurance. Got it hooked up and running yesterday.
