I need help with figuring out how to fill the red areas with black fill of the attached logo file. Any help is appreciated.

Fill inside the red area or just the thin outline? Also on the "A" there is a section of red missing.

I used "Smart fill tool"

"T" was straight forward. "A" & "M" needed combining lines than fill worked OK.

Sorry Greg.... I feel like a dumb I though you were looking to engrave something and fill the product in with black.....

The big issue was that you had overlaped segments and some where no connect together.

Try deleting until you get just the outlines that you need. The the select all the segements for the "filled" area, go to Arrange
Drop Down and at the bottom you will see "Join Curves" select that and a docker should open up, you can then select a distance
to join the segments and apply. Once they are joined you can sellect it and left click on the color black.

Like I said you had issues as the segments weren't connected so they couldn't be filled.
