I'm about to start building picture frames so I need to construct a table saw miter sled. I have some good looking plans from WoodsmithShop.com and I'm looking for ideas to improve on those plans or for other plans.

Thanks

I made one similar to this.

But I use the Incra 1000SE and Miter Express combo the most.

I did one like the drawing but with a thick piece across the front to keep it together. Thicker than I could cut through.

I don't know what your plans have in it but they are really simple.

The thing that took be awhile to get though my head was to cut on both sides of the sled, that way the will always fit together perfect.
This is the one I use now, I have 3M stair tread tape on it so thing won't slip.

Bill - thanks for the idea about the stair tread tape. I'll try it.
