I finally got one of those things. So I have been taking care of all the things left undone in my shop for some time. Right now I'm cleaning and sharpening everything I can. Tuning up a bunch of hand planes, both old wooden ones and newer metal ones. It is a real joy to be able to use these things with sharp irons & flat & clean soles. Cleaned up the cabinet scraper & sharpened all the card scrapers. This is just a partial list, but it feels great to get some of these things completed, and it will make future work more efficient and enjoyable.

Nice. once you have it all worked out maintenance it will probably be easy and pay off. there is nothing more annoying to me than having to prep every single tool during the work.

I'm finding that a daily pass with a broom saves me money.

Fewer tools find their way into a dark corner.
The dog eats whatever shavings I miss.
