So I've had this OSS for several years. I've had no issues with it until now. I used to keep it on my flip too tool stand. On one side I had the OSS and my Delta 4"x6" BD sander the other side had my Ryobi 13" planer. I hadn't used this for about 18 months. I've been using it recently and it has a bit of a 'hitch' on the last part of the downstroke.

Does anyone have any insight as to what I can look for?

Here's a quick video...

Thanx!!!

Hmmm, never seen that before. Have you tried opening it up and looking at the guts yet?

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps a few teeth on one of the gears got worn down or broke off. Then again, I've never opened up mine to see what makes it tick.

I had 2 of these. The first was replaced by the retailer, the second one did the same thing after about a year. The problem was rust on a splined shaft. At some point Ryobi changed the material to correct the problem.

The next thing to happen will be the belt coming off.
