If i opened the doors on my Epilog. And turned the Rotary so i could have a longer item sticking out a bit.. Would it Work ??

I am assuming it would not make a difference. Since its still plugged in. I would just need to rotate the graphic in the software a different way..

Just wonder if anyone has ever done a longer item through the side door with a rotary.

I don't see that working. Right now, the rotary axis disables the Y-Axis and becomes the Y-Axis. If you rotated it, you'd want it to lock the X-Axis and move on the Y-Axis. There's no way to make disable the X-Axis and use that signal at the rotary axis, that I am aware out, but maybe I'm wrong.

as Scott said, it disables the Y-axis. The head only moves side to side, not front to back (which
is what you'd need it to do if you rotated it 90°) I think you'd only get a straight line around
your piece, and perhaps cut right through it if it was thin enough. The beam would keep hitting
the same places over and over again.
