I have an edge lighting application on 1/2" acrylic which will have an engraved image. I am trying to find a creative solution for hiding the LED light tape. There are three parts, each will require the light tape on a curved edge. I haven't come up with a good solution for covering the edge with the tape.
One of the parts is a round disc etched as a globe. It is approx. 12" diameter and will have 8mm LED tape around the perimeter. I was thinking that the edge of the 1/2" material could be routed so that there is a lip. I would still need a way to fasten the light tape and, ideally, cover it up.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
