I built some wood coasters and I want to put a square of cork on the bottom of each one. The coasters are not yet finished. I plan to just use aerosol polyurethane. It'd certainly be easier to finish tops and bottoms, THEN put the cork on, but I don't know what to use.

What do you guys recommend?

Here's a pictuire of them. They are a gift for a friend, and made with wood I sawed from a cherry tree she had taken down. The engravings were done by a friend of mine with a CNC machine. They are photographs of her horses and cat.

I used TBIII on the coasters I have made. If you finish them first, put blue tape over the area where the cork glues to the coaster.

Contact cement.

3M makes a contact cement spray can... probably cheaper than trying to source a large sheet of 3M double-sided tape. The cement is about as permanent as you can get. Black can, should be findable in Home Depot and the like.

I used adhesive backed cork from the hobby shop. Inexpensive and the coasters have been in use for years.
