I have a RAS model 315.220381 that I moved in a truck. Since moving the saw will not lower or raise elevation. Gears are turning underneath but no elevation. HELP!

Looking at the Owners manual (http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/19093/CRAFTSMAN-Saw-Radial-L0012257) it appears that there is a nut beneath the bevel gear on the lift shaft. If that nut (item #32) is not tight the raise lower shaft will not rotate. If you can see the actual raise/lower shaft rotating, then the threads in the elevation nut (item #4) are damaged from shock or vibration during the move. You should always lower the saw all the way down so the motor rests on the table to keep the weight off the lift mechanism when moving the saw.
