An uncle recently asked for an urn (I hope that he does not need it for a long time). I hope that he will like this one; made from a Walnut crotch section with a Cherry lid. It is 8-1/4" dia X 13-1/2" tall (including lid).
Comments and Critiques welcome.

Very nice Dennis! The color variations are really cool! I'm sure your uncle will love it and will enjoy seeing it on dispay, empty, for a long time to come.

Stunning indeed. I like the formal look with the high shoulder and the wood choice is stunning.
Very nice Dennis

Very nice Dennis. I'm sure your uncle will love it.. How did you transition from a round base to flat arms on the cross??? ............. Jerry (in Tucson)

Jerry;
I turned the cross and then cut it on two sides with a hand-saw.

Nice.I especially like the way the cross is integrated into the turning. Your uncle is someone who wants things done right and should leave instructions that he wants to be in the urn. Not in a plastic bag that is in the urn.

Saw this one recently and it is great and the wood is very unusual. Great shape as usual.
