Long ranger iii problems

I have a Long Ranger III 220 volt remote that has stopped working. It was working fine when I turned it off but when I went to turn it back on all it does is beep.
The reprogramming instructions say to press the button on the side of the receiver and there will be a single beep and then push either the on or off button and then there will be a double beep the press either the on or off button again and there will be a triple beep and then it should be programed.
When I do this I get the one beep and then it goes right to three beeps. It will not do the double beep.
I have changed the battery but I am not sure if the one I put in is week.
Has anyone else ever had this problem

Yes, mine quit working like that, too. It still does not work.

I would drop an email to the maker (PSI ?) containing the text of your original post. Sounds like a simple failure of the device but, whether it is or is not, they are probably your best bet for info.
