I didn't plan on building this; it just sort of happened. I was in the market for a Leigh dovetail jig when this one turned up at a price too good to ignore. He also made me a pretty good deal on a P/C plunge router. The seller also insisted I also take his very heavy bench he made for the jig. It was glued up from 2 x 4s and is very sturdy, but a little rough. I was thinking about what to do with it when I decided to put it back to work with some added features. I took the top off and ran it through the drum sander a few times and cleaned up some other odds and ends, and added a shelf inside the leg stretchers. Then I ripped a 3" section off of the back side and built a twin screw front vise, sort of a built in Moxon vise, for hand dovetailing, or for using my Keller dovetail jigs, which are clamped to the stock and require the stock to be held vertically. I think it turned out pretty well.
