This morning sometime around 9:50 am we hit the 2 million active posts milestone. I can't even fathom how many people it took for us to accomplish over 2 million posts in just over ten years.

1000 people posting 200 times per year? ;)

For the record we made the one million posts milestone on January 3rd 2009.

It took us about 6 years to make one million and 4 years to make the second million.

The first million is always the toughest. ;)

Who is the all-time leading poster (excluding owner/administrator/mods)?

Bernie Weishapl. You can click Community > Member List, then click on the "Posts" label in the table header to sort the list by number of posts.

1723 out of 2409 pages of all (all members are about 72,270) have made no posts at all, so that means the 2 million posts came from about 29% of the registered members or about 20,580 folks who wrote all posts. If you forward to page 2009 out of 2409 members, you can see those members average only 4 posts each on post count. At most that counts for 50,000 posts. That leaves 12,000 members who wrote nearly two million posts. That accounts for an average of 167 post from those remaining 12,000; however, only 12 pages (about 360 members) have 1,000 or more posts.

Wow, not counting moderators, I'm 20th on the list....

I just noticed (5 days after this was posted): Keith wrote "SaMill" in the subject instead of "SawMill". You'd think he'd get it right after 10+ years. :D (Just funnin' ya, Keith!)

Lee, I think I was in the top 10 for about the first six months or year or so. Been dropping like a rock ever since! Though if we counted words instead of posts, and included the long-since-defunct chat, I bet I'd be in the top 5 still!

Jason,

Thanks for letting me know about my mistake, I made the correction. Although I make a lot of mistakes it is embarrassing to misspell SawMill Creek :)

Now, how do we get all 70K+ of us together for a beer.

No problem, Keith. I'm good at embarrassing people (just ask my kids) and at being an embarrassment in general (just ask my parents or wife)! :D

These numbers are also quite impressive for a bunch of woodworkers :)

SawMill Creek.org Alexa Traffic Rank (http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/sawmillcreek.org#) 4-25-13 at 11:47am.
Global Rank 39,304
Rank in US 10,295

Jason, I'm not used to embarrassing myself but I am going to have to adapt as the older I get them more often it seems to happen.

Yeah, but older people as they get more crotchety care less and less about what they say or do, so it's really not an embarrassment at that point! ;)

Woo hoo! I'm 13th in terms of number of posts (just below Keith in 12th place). Considering I don't do a lot of "fluff" posts (like "I agree" and "yep"), I guess I've discussed more with you guys than with my own family :p

Bernie Weishapl.

Bernie has 22k+ posts, but Jim Becker's 37k+ (as a mod) is just downright scary.

I just wanna know what kind of prizes Keith is handing out... :D

I haven't healed up from the Tenth Anniversary Celebration yet :) I worked almost constantly for over 2 months on that one, its difficult to get FreeStuff in this economy.

I decided not to award a prize for the person who made the 2 millionth post because that person had some help getting there :) I may do some random acts of kindness every now and then this year, I have some ideas for some things that might be appreciated. However.....we will be doing more contests and less FreeStuff Drawings in the future, this will make sure someone else is working besides me LOL.

Shipping prices are so high these days I will try to stay away from anything that I have to pay to ship. The Cobra Vac that I donated cost me more to ship than the value of a lot of prizes we have given away. I was shocked when I found out what it cost to ship two large boxes, they weren't even heavy :(

Dan,

I'll bet that I have sent at least 50,000 private messages and at least that many emails.
I'm pretty sure that at least 30,000 people have asked me why they can't post in the Classifieds Forum.
