Hey guys!!!

I just bought the Festool circle cutter. I attempted to cutout two rings from a 17" x 17" piece of 3/4" Birch ply. The ring has an OD is 8-1/2" and an ID of 6". I marked the circles with a compass, drilled the center hole for the trammel's pivot point, and drilled the access hole for the blade.

Is there some amount of offset I need to compensate for? I measured 3" for my radius of the inner circle. The blade simply would not go where I needed it to go. The access hole I drilled was nearly right up against the hole I planned to cut out. If I moved the hole over the blade could go where I need it. However, then the hole wouldn't be perfect.

Any tips?
