Sumac Natural Edge Bowl

A good friend dropped off some Sumac wood. I have never turned this,the colors where a surprise to say the least! Thanks John!
The wood was small about 6" in diameter. The size is 3"high x 6" wide. Finish is antique oil,8 coats then beal buffed. This was a very pleasant surprise!

Quite exotic looking wood, and excellent form. I'd like to see a shot from the top to better see the grain.

It does have a stunning color which by the way will floresce under a UV lamp-crazy.
