Dan Forman has made some nice candy dishes from various crotch pieces and one I saw out of elm gave me the idea what to do with this small rather flat core I had from a larger bowl blank. In the future, I'm thinking a wider rim, more "platter like" approach for these. Any thoughts? Silver maple about 7" x 1-1/4", wipe on tung oil finish. C&C always welcome.

I saw this at our club meeting, and it's gorgeous. The wide rim is flared, the rest of the dish is thinner - a nice effect.

Beautiful wood and it stands ready to be filled with M&M's.

Very nice use of a flat core.
