I'm a newbe, and been offered this lathe. Anyone know anything in regards to this lathe good or bad? Thanks

Joe,
At this point in time it goes either way. From what I've heard over the years I would say buy it if the price is right. On the other hand, I hope your handy cause there seems to be a real challenge to get parts if anything breaks. You would have a hard time getting them even if Delta had not gone through as many changes as it has in the last 5 or so years.
Personally, I looked for one intermittantly for the last 15 years and it always seemed like I found out about it the day after it was sold. Looks like it comes with everything you need except a bounty of chucks. Good Luck,
