When I got home from work today, I wasn't sure what I wanted to turn, but as I left the house to go to the shop I noticed a chunk of wood that has been sitting on the porch since last June :eek:. I decided then and there that it was time to see what I could do with it.
All I will say is that it was a crotch piece cut into a bowl blank.
The turning is done except for the bottom. I've still got all the sanding to do and most of it will be by hand. Most of it won't be bad, there's a few trouble spots near to holes, but the rest of the piece has a nice surface and should sand up easily.
