Anna Lee: knock knock.

Daddy: who's there?

Anna Lee: drill.

Daddy: drill who?

Anna Lee: drill compressor.

Then she says, "no! Wait!"

Anna Lee: knock knock.

Daddy: who's there?

Anna Lee: air?

Daddy: air who?

Anna Lee: air compressor

It might not be all that funny. But it's heart warming to hear my little girl talk shop stuff.

Nice story and it shows they listen even when we don't know.

Try this one on her.

Daddy: Say knock knock

Anna Lee: Knock knock

Daddy: (quickly) Who's there?

How about getting philosophical and asking, "will you remember me when you are in school?"

She will likely answer, "yes."

Then ask, "will you remember me when you find the love of you life and start to raise your own family?"

Again she will likely answer, "of course."

Then ask, "will you remember me when you get old and start having grandchildren of your own?"

Again she will likely answer, "yes."

Then say, "knock knock."

When she replies, "Who's there?"

Say, "how soon they forget."
