Hey guys, I am about half way done with my outfeed table for my Delta 10" contractors saw. Previously it had some melamine like this:

So the design will be similar but bigger than the pic above. But I am wondering about mounting the melamine. The .75" melamine will be sitting on top of steel angle iron. I was wondering if it would be preferable to screw up into that from the bottom or to drill it through and countersink a bolt in from the top?

It is heavily braced with the angle iron so one sheet of .75" should be fine. I am just not sure if that leaves enough to screw into?

I'm using bolts on the outfeed I'm making instead of screwing into it from the bottom.
I plan on using those brass toilet bolts since they don't need as deeply countersunk as a stove bolt or carriage bolt.
