I am new to this forum so I thought I would just indtroduce my self. My name is Tom, on another forum my name is tablesawtom. I am retired and have been woodworking for about40 years. I am not a Neanderthal but I do believe woodwoking requires a good set of handtool experience as well as the ability to use power tools. My other hobbie is old woodworking tools. I like them all but I really like to restore hand planes. I hope what I have to say will be somewhat of an interest to you here on this forum.

Thanks ,

Tom

I hope to get with my daughter later this week. She does web sesign for a living and should be able to help me learn how to post a picture, I think that it makes it a little more personable that way and to help me to getaround a little easier. Looking forward to it.

Welcome Tom!! For those that don't already know Tom, he is THE man to talk with if you want your planes ground flat and square. I have the pleasure of having a couple of planes that Tom did and his work is incredible.

Hey Tom. Good to see you here. Record No.3 you worked on a couple of weeks ago is doing great!

Welcome TST! I have heard nothing but great things about your abilities to flatten and square up a metal bodied plane....

Tom,

Welcome to the Creek.

Here is a link to instructions on posting photos:

I don't think much has changed since then.

Glad to have a well known plane fettler aboard. It is dirty work, but someone has to do it. :)
