Im looking to make a mobile base for my new saw and motor. the saw is estimated around 1000 pounds, and the motor I would say is over 120 but less than 200 pounds. I have 7 casters rated at 350 pounds each. Locally I can get some tubing, round and square. I have no idea what kinda of design or material sizes would be needed for this weight. I can get 1x1x1/8'' square tubing for relatively cheap, but I dont know if it would be strong enough for this use?

I suspect that 1 x 1 x 1/8 square tube would have a lot of deflection with this type of load. If you have lots of it; you could figure out a way to make it into a truss type structure but that seems like a lot of work.
Rolling the base over a less than perfectly flat floor will put the entire load on 2 or 3 casters, you might consider steel wheel casters with a high load rating.

My shop is flat smooth concrete, and it would only be rolling about 5 feet out from the wall depending on use.

What size or type of steel would be recommended for this amount of weight?
