For last week or maybe two, I have a trouble to surf SMC forum. Every page downloaded very slow and if I am clicking on picture - I may wait from 1 to 3 minutes.
For sure it is not my side - I have a very fast Verizon FIOS and other sites open as fast as before. I downloaded a lot of big files - 1-5 Gbs within 2-4 minutes max. Even now I wait for about a minute to finish this post. Same time while waiting I look in another tab different site without any delay.
Is anybody else has same problem?

Thank you, Ed.

Keith, thank you for pointing to the thread with same question. Sorry I did not see it.

I noticed it was a bit slow before the weekend, but seems OK all this week.

Myk,

Currently at peak usage we are just about 30% of our server capacity. To me this identifies the problem as a wide area network issue and not on our local network since it can't be our server causing things to slow down. I haven't discussed this with Aaron lately, maybe we can get together this evening and look at the data he has collected.

Keith, may be you are correct, but I have problem with loading attached pictures only on SMC site.
I did check a few times already, simultaneously opening a few forums and see responses. Only on SMC site, especially in the peak time ( around 5-7 pm).
I agreed that SMC is a very popular forum, but it is a significant degradation in speed in the last few weeks.

Just chiming in for additional information. I have been on the creek a lot lately - including the peak times - and have not experienced any slowdowns lately. Pictures have opened quickly. I mean this just to add data and not to argue with your experience.

No slowdowns for me, and I could be on here pretty much any time of the day. I'd imagine keith is exactly correct, someone is allocating traffic and it's a bottleneck somewhere between SMC and users, not something SMC is the cause of.

Probably, but I'd say the problem is closer to Keith than most of us. I've been seeing a lot of the same issues.

Thanks Everyone,

The more information we receive the better. If we can identify a specific problem we can try to find a cure no mater where its coming from.

Matt, maybe its the root routers in DC or possibly another location if traffic from the north is suffering but not from the south.

Keith, I am not far from you and I have seen no slow down

Same here (no performance problems).

Maybe those having problems should post a tracert.
