I've seen several band saws from Laguna. They've been in the industry for almost 3 decades and they've made some top notch band saws, some were not :)

It is a beefed up LT18 but I don't know the advantage over a MM20 or even an ACM 540. The MM in particular is much heavier with about the same footprint and the 540 is more versatile. Dave
