Posting numbers??

I just noticed that in my solar electric thread, it shows that I have 1599 posts, then later in the thread are two more posts with 1599 on them, then later in the thread are five posts with 1600 on them.

What constitutes a post?

Rick,

Your post count increases every time you post and it is automatically adjusted in every thread anyone views. In other words your post count is dynamic not static.
It can also decrease if one of your posts is deleted or if an entire thread you contributed to is deleted.

When we cleanup old Classified Advertisements we physically delete old threads, this is also true in the Deals and Discounts Forum. When this happens a lot of peoples post counts decrease.
