Very nice work Bernie. Did you buff the lacquer after it dried? How did your buff it?

Thanks again. I have two mills on my table that are 4 yrs old finished with lacquer and they still look just like the day I put them there.

Alex I use the Turner Select Deluxe Mills from CSUSA. Used them now for several years and no failures.

Dennis I use Deft rattle can lacquer in gloss and I don't buff. Just before the last coat or two I give it a good rub down with 0000 synthetic wool pads.

Man, you're becoming the Martha Stewart of woodturning. What do you get for those beauties (ballpark)?

Thanks Bill. I get $42 for them. If they want a salt grinder I get $80. I know it isn't enough but with the economy and being in a Agricultural community with a drought going on it is just tough.

You are turning into a production shop. Very nice production indeed. I especially like the Ambrosia maple.
All this talk got me to thinking of finishing a couple mills that I roughed out nearly 40 year ago and perhaps a couple new ones. Thanks for the info re the 'guts' to the mills.
