Hey, folks - Good news from this quarter. I asked for and received an invite from Deneb Puchalski at Lie-Nielsen to show a couple of my infill planes at this week's hand tool event at Popular Woodworking's digs in Cincinnati.
Here's one of the two planes:
258638
The second is identical except that I shaped the tote for a somewhat smaller hand.
The infill on both planes is cocobolo, and the 2-inch irons - made by Ron Hock - and the brass lever caps bear my logo.
Next up: a true smoother dimensioned like a Stanley 4 1/2, with a 2 3/8 inch iron. Don't know yet what kind of infill I'll use. I've also started thinking about a jointer.
Fun, fun. I look forward to seeing whoever makes it to the hand tool event.
