Hi Folks,

I'm going to upgrade from my old, problematic Dewalt 746 table saw to something a little more refined. The caveat is that for now I need something that comes wired for 110V. I've looked at several options and this one looks pretty good overall. Anybody got any feedback?

TIA,
JC

Haven't seen it, but I regretted buying a Laguna DP. Aren't all the 1.75hp TSs 120v?

I am just curious, but why no 220 volts?

May not be what you want to hear but you asked for feedback

1. No magnetic starter
2. Not a Bies or clone or unifence
3. only 266lbs

All that for ??~$1300 - that is a lot when those features can be purchased in a Home Depot Ridgid saw for ~$500

$500 more buys the sawstop contractor saw with a Bies clone fence.

If you do not want the sawstop then look for a used Craftsman 22124 zipcode saw with the Bies or a Jet Proshop saw.

Heck take $600 and install a 220V circuit and use the $700 and buy a used cabinet saw.

If you do it yourself a 220V circuit will be under $100 if you have a slot for a circuit breaker in your panel. Put in two - another for a dust collector.

For $795 + $99 shipping you could get the 110v/220v Grizzly Hybrid Table Saw (http://www.grizzly.com/products/10-Hybrid-Table-Saw-with-Riving-Knife-Polar-Bear-Series-/G0715P). I think Woodworker’s Journal has a 10% coupon for purchases over $300 from Grizzly right now too.

$1,300 is an insane price for that Laguna saw.

From a features stand point, it doesn't offer anything that looks like a $400 premium over the Griz G0661 or G0715P, other than dealer support. If dealer support is what you're after, check Steel City, Shop Fox, PM, Jet, and GI also.
