Hi, Ive been around for awhile but not much of a poster. I am having a discussion with the people that built my laser and dont trust their info any more.
I have no control over the laser output except min and max 10% and at 20% its on high output. here is the wiring.

You can download the RDLC 320 user manual here
http://ishare.iask.sina.com.cn/f/20759077.html
You can change things in the vendor settings of your laser in RDcam (you will need a password , try rd8888) and you should be able to change things via the lcd control panel of the laser itself.

I have the the manuals, and I have been working with the china tech, and have changed wires and jumpered and reloaded software, but the problem remains.. the only change in power level is from 10% to 20% from min. power to full power and from there on there is no change, other than speed.
I was hoping there was another person on here that would be willing to take a pic of there control wiring on power supply and RDcams controller. thanks..

I guess I had better explain a little clearer.. What the laser dsp controller and the computer do is the laser starts firing at 8% power level and by 20% its at full power, how I checked it (so many times) is cutting the end of 4mm, 6mm,12,mmand 18mm ply and mdf. at set speeds and varying power levels till it cut through.

8mm/s @ 19% laser power cuts 18mm mdf, 6mm/s @ 19% power cut 18mm fir plywood, 20mm/s @ 14% laser power is good for 4mm mdf. all I want is my speedo to be reprogramed to full 100% scale.. can't seem to get that across to my chinese go between.

Dan;
What is make of your laser?
Are you saying that setting the power at 20% in software results in 100% power on machine display and actual cut level?
Best Regards,
George

Yes, both the dsp and computer commands, the laser power settings only work from 8% laser power its starts and rapidly rises to max power at 20% after that it just stays on max power..
Its a keyland Laser reason I bought it was the local machine shop has one of there Yag lasers and loves it.
